Youth Empowerment Support(Y.E.S)

What is it?

This group program is designed for students ages 13-16 and work to develop a sense of confidence, commitment, and self-esteem as they go through high school. The program will discuss both academic and social skills with topics such as maintaining healthy relationships, understanding your learning style, social media and online safety, coping with peer pressure, goal setting and managing stress.

2. Setting future goals and plans

3. Understanding your learning style

4. Understanding and dealing with peer pressure

5. Making and keeping friends

6. Dating and healthy relationships

7. Social media and texting safety and etiquette

8. Time management and organizational strategies

9. Managing stress and anxiety

10. Healthy lifestyles- physical activity & eating habits

11. Building your skills- resume writing, applying to jobs, interview skills & volunteer work

12. Conflict-resolution and problem solving

Program Structure:

  • 8 sessions, 1 hour a week for 8 weeks
  • Junior section: Grades 1-4
  • Senior Section: Grades 5-8

How do I register?

1. Complete the registration form and submit via email or fax to the Programs Coordinator Amanda Partab, apartab@ldapr.ca

2. After we receive your registration form, we will connect with you to process a payment over the phone

3. Allow a minimum of 5-7 business days to process registration and payment

4. Once everything is processed, you will receive a confirmation letter via email with the time. session dates, facilitator information, and location

Cost and Sessions:

Member Rate: $125.00 Non-Member Rate: $160.00

Yearly Membership: $50.00
