Academic Tutoring

What is it?

It is a one to one tutoring program, for clients of all ages! The program is primarily homework based, however, our tutors can prepare lesson plans and material for the students learning objectives. The program is 10 sessions; 10 hours. Sessions are held once or twice a week depending on tutor availabilities.

What are the benefits?

Tutors will provide:

  • Different strategies and approaches to address different learning needs
  • Learning supports in subject areas the student is struggling with
  • General homework support, study and organization strategies
  • Feedback about the student’s progress

Program Structure:

  • 10 sessions, 1 or 2x a week

Locations:

  • Sessions are held in Brampton, Caledon and Mississauga
  • Community libraries, community centers, and LDAPR satellite schools

How do I register?

1. Complete the registration form and submit via email or fax to the Programs Coordinator Amanda Partab, apartab@ldapr.ca

2. After we receive your registration form, we will connect with you to process a payment over the phone

3. Allow a minimum of 5-7 business days to process registration, payment and to schedule a tutor

4. A qualified tutor will call you to discuss your expectations, skills, needs, and any other information you wish to share. You will set a session start date, time, and location with the tutor

5. Once everything is processed, you will receive a confirmation letter via email with your session start and end dates, tutor information, and location

Cost and Sessions:

Member Rate: $275.00/10 Sessions Non-Member Rate: $325.00/10 Sessions

Yearly Membership: $50.00
