Success Stories 2017 and 2018

What we’ve seen and heard from families and teachers has shown us that programs at the Learning Disabilities Association of Peel Region are doing exactly what we intended them to do.

I am A’s homeroom teacher. I have noticed that the extra support services that he is receiving at

LDAPR are helping him to not only adjust to new expectations but are also helping to grow his

confidence and ability to participate in the classroom setting.

The Tutoring and Social Skills Programs that my kids have repeatedly accessed has been fantastic! My children

have taken the Tutoring Program, and I found that their confidence and interest in education grew;

it was amazing. Finding and accessing services for my children who have challenges has been difficult,

but the Learning Disabilities Association has been instrumental in breaking down that barrier.

My son R is a hard working boy but without LDAPR supports it would have been impossible for him

to have such a wonderful achievement in a short time and earn his high school diploma. I was new to

Canada, and to cover our family’s basic needs, I had to work at least 17-18 hours daily 7 days a week.  It was

impossible to pay a private tutor. LDAPR was a great support in helping to pay the tuition fee.
